*OKE-OGUN POLITICIANS, IT'S TIME TO ELEVATE OUR POLITICS.* Fellow Oke-Ogun indigenes, as we journey towards a brighter future, for 2027, it's essential to acknowledge that our collective growth and development are intertwined. To truly thrive, we must learn to put aside our differences and embrace *unity.* *Time for a new approach* It's time to mature in our approach to politics. Let's adopt good practices from other zones in Oyo State and reject *hate* and *division.* Hating someone because of their *political* affiliation, *town,* or *religion* won't contribute to Oke-Ogun's development  *Politics: A Game, Not War* View politics as a game, like football. After the game, *life goes on.* We can disagree without being disagreeable. When someone from another party *celebrates, wish them well. If they experience loss, show *empathy.* *Unity and Love* Let's prioritize unity and love in Oke-Ogun. By doing so, we'll create a brighter future for ourselves and *...

*UNDERSTANDING TRUE RELIGION* *Favour Adéwọyin* November 24, 2025.  Religion is one of the major problems facing the earth and its inhabitants.  Christians and Muslims are too often set against each other, and in their rivalry, both foreign faiths have pushed the indigenous spiritual heritage to the margins — unfairly branding its practitioners as servants of darkness. The following are a few brief, clear points on how religion has often posed as a major problem in the world: 1. Religion has been used as a tool for division, creating “us versus them” identities that fuel prejudice, intolerance, and hostility among people who otherwise share common humanity. 2. Many conflicts across history have been justified in the name of religion, even when the real causes are political, economic, or territorial, thereby giving violence a sacred cover. 3. Religious extremism and fanaticism distort genuine faith, turning belief into a weapon and empowering individuals or groups who imp...

*A RESPONSE TO Mogaji OLOKO: WHY EQUITY, INCLUSIVITY AND ROTATIONAL FAIRNESS REMAIN THE PATH TO SUSTAINABLE PEACE AND PROGRESS IN Ọ̀YỌ́ STATE* *Favour Adéwọyin,* November 23, 2025.  The recent statement credited to Mogaji Abass Oloko — that Ìbàdàn should not relinquish the governorship stage to other zones, but should insist on an open contest — is, at best, an incomplete reading of the democratic spirit that guides truly inclusive governance. More importantly, it fails to acknowledge a fundamental principle of stakeholder justice: equity is not measured by numerical dominance, but by the fairness of opportunity extended to all parties in a shared enterprise. In corporate governance, the stakeholders’ doctrine is clear and unambiguous. Every stakeholder — regardless of whether they hold 100 shares or 1,000 shares — retains an equal voice in decision-making. Influence is not monopolised by volume; participation is not restricted by size. Everyone sits at the table. Everyone is...

We condemn: Drugs abuse that destroys our youth and future, leaving families shattered and communities broken Ritual killings that shed innocent blood, mocking the sanctity of human life Kidnapping that terrorizes our people, creating fear and anxiety in our midst Political hooliganism that undermines democracy, threatening the very fabric of our society Herdsmen attacks that displace and traumatize, leaving scars that may never heal Internet fraud that undermines trust and integrity, corroding the moral values of our youth We demand a society free from indiscipline and social evils!  *THE WINNING FORMULA* *Favour Adéwọyin,* November 18, 25. This article is an attempt to present the power and beauty of united action in the agitation for Governorship Power Rotation in the Ọ̀yọ́ State. It explores how block-voting is the only path to power shift in the Pace Setter State.  In every democracy, the ballot is the most potent instrument of transformation. So, for the marginalised regions of Ọ̀yọ́ State — Òkè-Ògùn, Ìbàràpá, Òyọ́ and Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ — the voter’s card is not merely plastic; it is power, voice, dignity, and the gateway to long-awaited political justice. For decades, these regions have carried the burden of exclusion while watching the governorship seat rotate within a narrow axis. Today, the call for fairness is louder than ever, and the most beautiful expression of that call is block-voting — the united decision of towns, villages and settlements speaking with one collective voice. Block-voting is not an act of hostility; it is an act of self-respect. I...

**FAIRNESS, JUSTICE, EQUITY, EQUALITY AND INCLUSIVITY: A CALL TO CONSCIENCE FOR ALL WHO LOVE Ọ̀YỌ́ STATE* *Favour Adéwọyin,* November 17, 2025.  In every thriving society, certain values guide progress: fairness, justice, equity, equality, and inclusivity. These values are demanded by God, affirmed by tradition, and required for stable nation-building. Yet in Ọ̀yọ́ State — the Pace Setter State — the political pattern of the last 26 years reveals an imbalance that can no longer be ignored. One region has produced the Governor for 21 years. Only once did Providence shift power elsewhere — for a brief 5 years. Three entire regions have never tasted the governorship since 1999. In a state that should lead others by example, this imbalance raises critical questions of justice and collective responsibility. This message is addressed not to one audience, but to all who hold the destiny of Ọ̀yọ́ State in their hands. *To Political Stakeholders:* Dear political leaders, office-holder...

*CAN TWO WALK TOGETHER EXCEPT THEY AGREE?* *Favour Adéwọyin* November 12, 2025 Few days ago, I wrote about patriotism as the purest form of love — a love that demands sacrifice, commitment, and selflessness. True love for one’s people and region means giving our best to bring growth, progress, and development to our homeland. The elevation and success of our region should be our collective priority. Sadly, what we have witnessed over the years shows that our passion for the genuine advancement of our region has been less than commendable. A few patriotic individuals have borne the burden, while many remain indifferent, complacent, or even obstructive. This attitude explains why Òkèògùn continues to lag behind. In 1996, we lost a golden opportunity to have Òkèògùn State — an opportunity that slipped through our fingers because we allowed the love for our towns to outweigh the love for our region. We fought over which town should be the capital instead of embracing unity. We failed ...
