*THE WINNING FORMULA*

This article is an attempt to present the power and beauty of united action in the agitation for Governorship Power Rotation in the Ọ̀yọ́ State. It explores how block-voting is the only path to power shift in the Pace Setter State.
In every democracy, the ballot is the most potent instrument of transformation. So, for the marginalised regions of Ọ̀yọ́ State — Òkè-Ògùn, Ìbàràpá, Òyọ́ and Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ — the voter’s card is not merely plastic; it is power, voice, dignity, and the gateway to long-awaited political justice. For decades, these regions have carried the burden of exclusion while watching the governorship seat rotate within a narrow axis. Today, the call for fairness is louder than ever, and the most beautiful expression of that call is block-voting — the united decision of towns, villages and settlements speaking with one collective voice.
Block-voting is not an act of hostility; it is an act of self-respect. It is the strategic alignment of the oppressed toward equity. When Ìbàràpá stands with Òkè-Ògùn, when Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ aligns with Òyọ́, when the hamlets, villages, communities and settlements rise in a single political chorus, they send a message no power structure can ignore. Democracy rewards numbers, organisation and unity. Fragmentation weakens; collaboration strengthens. In a political environment where every vote counts, standing together is not an option — it is the only path to victory.
The beauty of block-voting lies in its simplicity: every eligible voter must first obtain a voter’s card. Without it, dreams remain dreams, and desires never cross the bridge into reality. There is no magic to political power; no shortcut, no miracle, no mysterious formula. It is by registering, by voting, and by standing firm to ensure that every ballot is counted that change emerges. The regions seeking justice must understand that the power they seek is already in their hands — literally — if they can unite in a bond of synergy to change their collective destinies by rewriting their stories through the ballots.
Unity is the backbone of this agitation. Cooperation is its strength. Collaboration is its winning strategy. No region can achieve the governorship alone, but together, they represent the majority of the landmass, the majority of communities, and a powerful bloc of determined citizens who are ready for fairness, ready for representation, and ready for a new political dawn. When the marginalised stand as one, their collective will becomes unstoppable.
Let every town — from Kisi to Eruwa, from Saki to Iseyin, from Igbeti to Igbo-Ora, from Jobele to Ogbómọ̀ṣọ́ — rise with renewed purpose, poise and passion. Let every village and settlement, every youth, every woman, every elder, every artisan, farmer, and professional recognise that history is calling. The future will ask what we did when justice knocked on our door. Let our answer be clear: We stood together. We voted together. We won together.
The path to achieving a just and equitable governorship rotation demands unwavering determination, but it can only be travelled through unity. Our strength lies in our collective numbers, and our victory depends on our ability to think together, act together, and speak with one resolute voice. Above all, we hold in our hands the ultimate instrument of change — the voter’s card. It is the key to unlocking the long-awaited political balance in Ọ̀yọ́ State. Let every citizen guard it jealously. Let those yet to register do so without delay, and those who have misplaced theirs secure a replacement. Only then can we shape the future we desire and deserve.
Therefore, let us rise, unite and vote with one voice. Let fairness be our goal, justice our banner, and block-voting our collective strength. The future belongs to those who show up. Let us show up. Let us speak through the ballot. Let us win through unity.
This is the spirit and the collective will that birthed the G22 Renewed. This is the way to go and the path to follow. We must work together as one force and voice because the family of snakes who refuse to walk and work together will expose the members to danger — for every solo and solitary effort and operation will make them become easy prey which will produce nothing but casualties in the family.
Now is the moment to rise as one and speak with a single, resolute voice to correct the age-long injustices. Now is the time to rewrite our story and boldly say no to marginalisation, no to exclusion, and no to neglect.
