_Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa rejects the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Ọ̀yọ́ State’s decision_
The attention of Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa has been drawn to the recent decision of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ọ̀yọ́ State, to retain its existing executives from the state level down to the ward level as published in Goalpoachernews.
We hereby state categorically that our association rejects this decision in its entirety as it is unjust, undemocratic, and strategically designed to further marginalise Òkèògùn region and its people. Retaining the current structure, which once again keeps the Party Chairman in Òkèògùn, is a deliberate political manoeuvre to disqualify and debar our region from producing the Governor of Ọ̀yọ́ State in 2027.
This is not only unfair but also a direct assault on the principles of fairness, equity, justice, and inclusive representation that should guide the leadership structure of a great party such as the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Therefore, our association wishes to you state that Òkèògùn cannot be caged into perpetual subordination by being offered party positions that automatically exclude the region from contesting for the governorship seat.
We therefore dissociate ourselves from this undemocratic arrangement and call on all lovers of fairness across Ọ̀yọ́ State — from Òkèògùn to Ìbàràpá; from Ìbàràpá to Ọ̀yọ̀ and from Ọ̀yọ́ to Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ — to rise against this injustice. We stand firmly for a balanced political arrangement where every region, including Òkèògùn, can aspire to the highest office in the land without being handicapped by manipulative party structures.
While we look forward to a change in decision from the leadership of the PDP, we like to state that our people in Òkèògùn will take all the necessary steps to see that fairness, justice, equity, equality and inclusivity becomes entrenched into the political system of Ọ̀yọ́ State as is the case in the other Southwestern States of Nigeria.
Yours faithfully,

Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa.
*Engr. Dauda Olaifa Alade,*
