OKE-OGUN, LET’S ELEVATE OUR POLITICS
Fellow sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun,
As we continue our journey toward a brighter and more prosperous future, we must recognize that our progress is deeply connected. No town, community, or group can truly develop in isolation. Our strength lies in our unity, and our future depends on our ability to work together with a shared vision.
Time for a New Approach
The time has come for us to mature in our political engagement. Politics should not divide us or turn brothers against one another. Instead, it should serve as a tool for development, representation, and the advancement of our people.
Let us learn from other zones in Oyo State that have made significant progress by standing together despite political differences. We must reject hatred, bitterness, and unnecessary rivalry. Disliking someone because of their political affiliation, town, or religion does not help Oke-Ogun grow—it only holds us back.
Politics: A Game, Not War
Politics should be seen as a contest of ideas, not a battlefield of enemies. Just like football, after the match ends, players shake hands and life goes on. In the same way, we must learn to disagree without being hostile.
If someone from another political party celebrates a victory, let us congratulate them. If they experience loss or hardship, let us show empathy and support. Humanity should always come before politics.
Unity and Love: The Path to Progress
Oke-Ogun can only reach its full potential when we place unity and love above division. When we support one another and work collectively, we create opportunities not just for ourselves, but for future generations. Our children deserve to inherit a region known for peace, cooperation, and progress—not conflict and hostility.
Let Us Mature in Our Politics
Let us rise above petty rivalries and destructive criticism. Let us speak with respect, act with wisdom, and promote peace in our communities. Regardless of party, town, or religion, we are first and foremost sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun. That identity should bind us together, not pull us apart.
Protecting and Promoting Our Fatherland
Our land is rich in culture, history, and potential. It is our collective responsibility to protect its image, promote its interests, and ensure that it continues to grow in unity and dignity. A united Oke-Ogun is a stronger and more prosperous Oke-Ogun.
Together, let us build bridges instead of walls, promote understanding instead of conflict, and choose development over division.
