PROF. SEGUN GBADEGESIN BOOSTS OKE-OGUN POPULATION WITH RESUMPTION OF NEW STUDENTS AT FUNATO
The Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum (OOIYSF), under the leadership of its National President, Comrade Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan, has commended Prof. Segun Gbadegesin for his remarkable contribution to the development of Oke-Ogun, particularly through the successful take-off and resumption of new students at the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO).
In an interview granted by Comrade Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan, he praised Prof. Gbadegesin and other notable sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun who worked tirelessly to ensure the establishment and progress of the university. According to him, the resumption of students at FUNATO has significantly increased the population and economic activities within Oke-Ogun, bringing new opportunities for growth, development, and community advancement.
The President emphasized that “there is no town that becomes great on its own; it is the commitment and sacrifices of great sons and daughters that make a town great.” He noted that Prof. Segun Gbadegesin has demonstrated this truth by using his influence and privilege to facilitate the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho, which is already bringing pride and progress to the region.
Comrade Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan therefore called on all sons and daughters of Oke-Ogun, both at home and in the diaspora, to emulate the good example of Prof. Gbadegesin by using their positions, connections, and resources to attract meaningful development projects to the region.
He also appealed to political leaders and stakeholders in Oke-Ogun to follow the same path by facilitating more impactful projects that will uplift the people and accelerate development across the zone.
The Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity, growth, and sustainable development in Oke-Ogun.
