ORELOPE ROYAL FATHERS: INSTRUMENTS OF DEVELOPMENT FOR OKE-OGUN YOUTHS
The Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum, under the leadership of the National President, Comrade Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan, on Thursday embarked on the official flag-off activities for its Annual Get-Together Programme scheduled to hold on July 16, 2026, at Igboho City Hall.
The purpose of the visit was to inform and seek the royal blessings of the traditional rulers in Oorelope Local Government Area concerning this year's programme, themed:
"OKE-OGUN YOUTH: TRANSFORMING OUR HERITAGE THROUGH ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT."
During the royal visitation, the delegation met with several revered traditional rulers who expressed their support and commitment to the growth and development of Oke-Ogun youths.
Visit to HRM Oba Dr. Joel Olalere Alepata, Alepata of Igboho Land
The first point of call was the palace of HRM Oba Dr. Joel Olalere Alepata, the Alepata of Igboho Land. The monarch commended the Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum for its continuous efforts in promoting unity, development, and the positive image of Oke-Ogun.
Oba Alepata pledged both moral and financial support towards the successful hosting of the programme. He also assured the forum of his presence at the event alongside members of his traditional council and chiefs.
Visit to HRM Oba Dr. Abdulrasheed Atoyese, Onibode of Igboho
The delegation also visited HRM Oba Dr. Abdulrasheed Atoyese, the Onibode of Igboho, who warmly received the youths and engaged them in a fruitful discussion on strategies for advancing the development of Oke-Ogun.
The monarch expressed delight at the initiative and promised his full support, both physically and financially. He further assured the forum that he and his chiefs would attend the programme to contribute to its success.
Visit to HRM Oba John Oyetola, Onigboho of Igboho Land
The forum proceeded to the palace of HRM Oba John Oyetola, the Onigboho of Igboho Land, where discussions centered on the forthcoming Annual Get-Together and broader issues affecting youth and community development in Oke-Ogun.
The royal father appreciated the visit and encouraged the youths to remain committed to the progress of the region. He promised to attend the event with members of his traditional council and also made a financial contribution in support of the programme.
Visit to HRM Oba Dr. Moses, Onigbope of Igbope
The delegation also reached out to HRM Oba Dr. Moses, the Onigbope of Igbope, through a telephone conversation. The monarch commended the forum for its dedication to promoting unity and fostering a sense of one family across Oke-Ogun communities.
He pledged both financial and moral support for the programme and assured the forum of his participation alongside his chiefs in ensuring the success of the event and the advancement of Oke-Ogun youths.
