*HAPPY POSTHUMOUS BIRTHDAY, BABA JONAH OGUNNIYI OTUNLA*
Today, I pause to reflect on the life and legacy of a remarkable father, mentor, and leader whose impact continues to live on in our hearts. Though you are no longer with us physically, your memory remains a source of inspiration and encouragement to me and countless others.
As we celebrate your posthumous birthday, I am reminded of the many meaningful conversations we shared concerning the growth and development of Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths. Your words of wisdom, support, and encouragement continue to resonate with me. You believed in our vision and mission, and your unwavering support gave us the confidence to keep moving forward.
Baba Otunla, your legacy extends far beyond your distinguished service as a former Accountant-General of the Federation. You were a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and community development. Your commitment to uplifting young people and advancing the progress of Oke-Ogun was evident in every discussion we had.
*I vividly remember how, whenever our annual Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum Get-Together approached each July, you would always encourage us, saying, “President, don't worry; tell your comrades to continue the good work.” Your reassuring words always strengthened our resolve, and I would gladly respond, “Yes, sir.”*
Today, I deeply miss your presence. It still feels like a dream that you are no longer here with us. However, I find comfort in knowing that your legacy, values, and vision continue to guide and inspire us. Your love for Oke-Ogun and its youth will never be forgotten.
As we commemorate your birthday, we celebrate a life well lived, a legacy well established, and a man whose contributions to humanity will forever be remembered. Your dedication to service, leadership, and youth development remains a shining example for generations to come.
On this special day, we honor your memory and pray that your soul continues to rest peacefully until the resurrection day.
Happy Posthumous Birthday, Baba Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla.
Your legacy lives on.
Signed:
Comrade Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan
